Question:

Can you purchase HAVIK software such as HAVIK Core or HAVIK Joint Fires Trainer (JFT) separately?

Answer:

Yes, our software can be sold separately to be combined with a user’s desired or already existing Commercial-Off-The-Shelf (COTS) equipment. HAVIK will provide minimum and recommended hardware specifications.

Question:

What user and system documentation is available?

Answer:

HAVIK provides a robust user manual that is updated with every new release of our product. First time users have been able to fully operate the HAVIK system based solely on instruction from this manual. Step by step screenshots and videos are incorporated into the manual via QR codes for ease of understanding. Furthermore, there are many MACE tutorial videos accessible on Youtube and several common errors are covered in HAVIK training videos. All current documentation for a customer’s system is saved on their device before delivery. System hardware specifications can be sent on request. These specifications will change based on advancements in technology and the requirements of our software.

Question:

What does the HAVIK Support package include, and how long does it last

Answer:

One year of HAVIK Support generally comes with the initial purchase of a HAVIK system and is included in the unit price. Additional years of software support can be purchased at the current FY price to lock it in, for up to 3 years total. This software support includes updates to software, terrain generation for specific training/operation locations, priority feature suggestions and feedback, and troubleshooting for any software issues that degrade training via customer support. HAVIK Support also includes access to interim hardware for any system where hardware issues have rendered systems unusable. As technology advances HAVIK will upgrade systems with the newest hardware to customers with active HAVIK Support licenses at no extra cost. This will ensure the most effective training without additional contracting actions.  HAVIK Support licenses generally do not include purchases of new/renewed MACE software licenses. A MACE license renewal will have to occur annually at around $4,000 USD. HAVIK will not render deployed systems inoperable by a lapse in HAVIK Support coverage.

Question:

Can HAVIK systems connect for multi-user experiences?

Answer:

Yes, any HAVIK student station (both Scout and Atlas systems) can connect to a scenario being hosted on a HAVIK Atlas system’s instructor station. This allows for shared immersive training scenarios and can be accomplished via LAN connection, or an approved distributed training network solution.

Question:

Is HAVIK Atlas a standalone system?

Answer:

HAVIK Atlas (instructor and student station) is designed to support standalone usage; but the device can be connected to other simulators or HAVIK systems via local area network (private addresses, no WAN uplink) or remote networks (internet or distributed training network).
